Sittingbourne
Mural Instillation
Tasked by Tristan Properties and Kristoff Adelaide Architecture I was commissioned to design and install a mural installation in the town of Sittingbourne (Kent).
The mural installation was painted on the hoarding boards of a new residential development, and was a nod to Sittingbourne cultural history as part of the Pilgrims way, a journey from Winchester to Canterbury. Overall the installation took three days to complete working with a talented collective of local designers and artists.

Brief
Mural instillation for an architectural group, building a new development in the town of Sittingbourne
What was the challenge?
The project was a complex and ambitious endeavor, involving detailed coordination with stakeholders and the recruitment of additional artists. It was the largest project I had undertaken at the time, requiring me and my team to hand-paint over 85 square meters. I managed all aspects of client communication, from the initial consultation to the final delivery, ensuring a seamless and successful outcome.
What was the solution?
After the initial consultation with the client, a digital design proposal was created. The client selected the colour palette, which was then sourced. The digital design was precisely transferred onto the wall, allowing the physical artwork to take shape.
What were the project obstacles?
Given the number of contributors and stakeholders involved, effective personnel management and clear communication were vital throughout the project. The greatest challenge lay in the project's sheer scale and the complexity of translating a digital design into a large, physical installation in the real world.
The project outcomes
The clients were thrilled with the outcome of the mural installation, which gave their hoarding boards a modern and vibrant look during construction. The project also received high praise from local residents, bringing a fresh artistic vibe to the town.
